Here in the Communications office we were alerted to an article that
appears currently in the In Flight magazine for Air India. In an
article, entitled "Santa comes calling", written by Jaskiran Chopra, it
looks at our local Doon Valley and how residents celebrate Christmas.
One family featured is Woodstock's own Ajay and Sanjaya Mark (Head of
PE and Head of Junior School). Ajay shares their Christmas traditions. "We
begin our open house on the evening of December 25 and the celebrations
carry on till the wee hours the next day". The Marks, who have lived in
the valley for several decades, share home cooked treats among friends
including Sanjaya's apple pies and cookies baked in the shape of
Christmas trees and hot ginger cider"..........
